So I need a place to dump songs which are stuck in my head. *Looks at blog, has an "Aha!" moment*
Henceforth, all such songs will find a short post dedicated here, under Song in Head.
The TV's been flooded with song after song from Ishaqzaade. The promos have pizazz, but what really intrigued me was this song:
Dubstep in a Hindi song! AND it sounds good! Who says Bollywood music is insipid?
Whoever says that should meet Amit Trivedi.

niceeee!
ReplyDeleteits stuck in my head too now!
oh, and i'll give you a song suggestion too
ReplyDeletetony igy- astronomia
Heehee, gotcha! I frankly don't care much for trance or the actual dubstep, I just like to show off my awareness of it. I only like the dubstep in this song because it's not overwhelming, yet there.
DeleteThat said, tony igy's dhinchak dhinchak was better than other dhinchak I get to hear. :D
so the first line makes me say...
ReplyDeletefrom now on you can call m place :D
as for the song, mast hai. appealed even to me.
OK. But remember, you asked for it! :P
DeleteYou're right about there being some kind of influence, but I don't hear a real strong vibe or anything, but I'm hardly knowledgeable in such matters. Happy birthday(if a little late)!
ReplyDeleteIt's not the velcro-kinda-catchy, I know. If it doesn't work for you, it doesn't. And thank you! :)
DeleteWow, this is catchy :O
ReplyDeleteAnd Parineeti Chopra is so cute! :D
He he.. I think she's a little short too: extra cute points for that :)
DeleteYes, I knew this guy's thing with unusual sounds when I heard the police walky-talky crackle and beeping sound in the 'Dilli' song from Nobody killed Jessica. Noticed? :)
ReplyDeleteDid somebody wish you a belated 'happy b'day'? Man..missed it too then. Happy belated birthday, girl? When was it? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! 11th April, the earthquake day ;)
DeleteAnd YES, of course I noticed! How did the classical+rock work for you in that song? He makes them all so catchy, yet full of tricks.. I've been drooling over him ever since DevD!
I liked most tracks in NKJ - ah, Dev D, that's a paradigm shift for hindi (read bollywood) music, I must say. Especially the 'o pardesi' song - it was like a chatpata churmuri..
DeleteDid you know that one of the singers of the emosanal atyachaar song is nawazuddin siddique, who plays the IB officer in kahaani? :)
Whoa. *mind blown*
